Here is our guide to making your own Big Mac tacos – perfect for a cosy evening with friends or as a fun twist on the classic burger.
What you'll need:
The recipe serves approx. 4 people, depending on how much each person eats.
Ingredients:
- 500 g minced beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 8 small tortillas
- 200 g grated cheddar cheese
- 1 iceberg lettuce, finely chopped
- 4 pickled cucumbers, sliced
- Big Mac sauce (see recipe below)
Big Mac sauce recipe:
- 1 dl mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. mustard
- 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 1 tbsp. finely chopped pickled cucumbers
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to make Big Mac tacos:
- Prepare the sauce: Mix all the ingredients for the Big Mac sauce together in a bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and set aside so the flavours can develop while you prepare the rest.
- Cook the meat: Heat your ONYX Cookware frying pan over medium heat. Fry the minced beef together with the finely chopped onion until the meat is browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Warm the tortillas: Once the meat is cooked, you can warm the tortillas in the same pan. Fry them briefly on each side until they are slightly crisp and warm.
- Assemble your tacos: Place a spoonful of the cooked beef on each tortilla. Top with grated cheddar cheese, finely chopped iceberg lettuce, sliced pickled cucumbers and a generous amount of Big Mac sauce.
- Serve and enjoy: You now have delicious Big Mac tacos, ready to enjoy. Serve them straight away so the tortillas stay crisp and delicious.
