This age-old pastime of leaving your food to thaw for hours on end, is not only an incredible annoyance to deal with – it is also quite unhealthy.
When you take out a steak to thaw, and you leave it in your refrigerator or in the sink, for several hours, what will happen is, that the outermost layers of meat will defrost much earlier than the core, and before the meat is fully thawed and ready for cooking, the outermost layers of meats will already have begun decomposing. On top of this, we all know that the meats that go in the freezer are mostly close to or even past the expiration date. So when that outer layer defrosts, it’s already ripe.
But this is no longer an issue! With the ONYX COOKWARE™ Defrosting Tray, we have found a way to decrease the time it takes to thaw any frozen foods by up to 10 times! You can completely thaw a big man-sized steak in less than 30 minutes, and smaller foods in a matter of minutes.
So, what is the secret you ask? It is actually quite simple, yet ingenious.
We use a special super efficient anodized aluminum alloy, which is already one of the most heat-conductive materials in the world, and then we take it up a notch, by using a unique heat-sink design to further push the heat and cold absorption levels up beyond belief.
Our thawing board will quite literally pull and draw any heat or cold from your foods, into the core of super efficient aluminum alloy, and from there use the micro-fins designed heat sink underside, to quickly and efficiently disperse of this temperature regulation, in order to continuously and rapidly transfer heat or cold from your food to the air beneath the tray.
