Inspiration - Scandinavian Egg Cake

Egg Cake


  • 8 eggs
  • Bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 5 cherry tomatoes
  • 1½ dl. cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • Dark bread or rye bread
  • Chives
  • Mustard


  1. Break the eggs into a bowl and whip them
  2. Put butter on the frying pan and let it heat up
  3. Pour the cream into the bowl and add pepper and salt before whipping again
  4. Pour the mixture onto the frying pan
  5. Prepare the bacon and start frying it
  6. Put the frying pan with the eggs into the oven at 180° degrees (convention) for about 15 minutes
  7. Cut the onion and fry it with 1 tablespoon of oil
  8. Cut the tomatoes into halves and fry them with the onion. Add salt and pepper.
  9. Chop the chives and prepare the bread
  10. When the eggs are done, prepare the dish and add the garnish and mustard
